Bio
I am a 27 year old multimedia artist, writer, and faith-practicer. My pronouns are she/her. I identify as Muslim, as a woman, as queer, and am ethnically Bambara and Soninke. I have lived in a section of unceded Lenapehoking territory, colonially known as New York City, all my life.
I would describe myself as passionate, silly, analytical, introspective, brave, imaginative, patient, outspoken, and poetic with a big heart. I love the ocean, sun, moon, and clouds, learning, singing, painting, ice-skating, designing, archiving, sentimental music, note-taking apps, and feeling a positive change in the works. Without Allah SWT, who I love first and foremost, none of what I’ve listed would exist, and none of my art would be possible. Glory be to Allah.
I want to learn more about history, psychology, liberation movements, healing, programming, music theory, architecture, art, and digital security. My favorite song at the moment is ‘Even in the Quietest Moments’ by Supertramp.
